Browsing and website security

Technical information such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser information and error or security events may be processed to deliver and protect the website. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website and preventing misuse.

The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical requests needed to deliver the pages. Technical-log retention depends on the relevant provider’s service and security settings.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any name, attachments or other information you choose to provide. We use these to respond and follow up on your enquiry. For a requested quotation or other steps before a contract, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. General correspondence is handled on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Providing contact information is necessary if you want a reply. Please only send information relevant to your question. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Written complaints

We use the information in a complaint to investigate and respond, and to comply with Croatian consumer-protection obligations. Required written-complaint records are kept for one year from receipt. Relevant records may be retained longer where necessary for an unresolved dispute or another legal obligation.

Your choices in this browser

The size selector, Plant Finder and educational search work in your browser. Cookie preferences are saved in local storage on your device. Product selections saved by an earlier version may remain until you clear your browser’s site data. These selections do not submit an order. Online ordering and payments are unavailable.

Who may receive data?

Authorised people handling your enquiry, our email service provider, hosting and security providers may process information where needed for their role. Professional advisers or competent authorities may receive relevant information where necessary to handle a dispute or comply with the law.

Infrastructure or email services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. You can contact us for information about the providers, processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards for your enquiry.

How long is information kept?

Enquiry correspondence is kept for the time needed to answer and follow up on the matter. Retention also takes account of any ongoing relationship, unresolved claim, applicable limitation period or legal record-keeping requirement. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted. Your rights

Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Email hi@megamyco.com to exercise your rights. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it within that month.

You may complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, AZOP, or another competent supervisory authority.
